A native of Toronto, Ontario, Connor was named the CHL’s Player of the Year for the 2013-14 season after recording 45 goals and 128 points as the captain of the Erie Otters.  He was selected in the 6th Round by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and made his professional debut in the 2014-15 season with the Leafs’ AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. In his rookie campaign with the Marlies, Connor played in the AHL All Star Game, led the Marlies and all AHL rookies in points, and finished 10th in league scoring. Connor made his NHL debut with the Leafs' during the 2015-16 season, posting 1 goal and 5 assists in 7 games and he established himself as a full-time NHL player throughout the 2016-17 season scoring 20 goals and adding 16 assists in 82 games.
